Machbarkeitsstudie Straßenbahnlinie 13
With about 42.000 passengers per day, the bus line 13A is one of the most frequented bus lines of Vienna.
In the frame of a feasibility study, the conversion of the 13A into a tram line should be analyzed. Thereby, the following work packages have been successfully implemented by komobile:
Analysis of problems
- Inquiry of parking lots and bicylce parking areas in public space
- Inquiry of buildings uses along the bus line
- Inquiry of parking lots in the surrounding parking garages
- Analysis of delays through consultation of RBL-data of "Wiener Linien"
Alignment of the tram line 13
- Assessment of critical situations in location plan and longitudinal intersection (through SPP)
- Elimination of technically not feasible variants
- Alignment of two different variants in the location plan and longitudinal intersection (SPP), for each of these two variants:
- Presentation of cross sections (before/after) for almost 100 positions along both routes
- Traffic organization for individual motorized transport and bicycles
- Parking space and pedestrian area balance
- Visualization (together with stadtland) and illustrated location plans
- Rough cost estimate
- Route recommendation
Project organisation
- Coordination of internal and external communication (data inquiries etc.)
- Organisation and technical preparation of four workshops with Wiener Linien and departments of the city of Vienna
